Luckily, “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” hits streaming soon, and is already available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4k. If you’re not into physical media or prefer to try before you buy, the movie will be playing exclusively on Peacock beginning on March 10, 2023. This isn’t a surprise, as Peacock is the main streaming home of other Dreamworks blockbusters, including the Far Far Away films that started it all, “Shrek” and “Shrek 2.” The streamer also offers some Puss in Boots-centric shorts.
If you’re keen to watch the new film but haven’t tried Peacock yet, it’s worth noting that it’s one of the more cost-effective streamers out there. Plans start at $4.99 a month, with a discount for an annual subscription. As someone who’s taste-tested the seemingly endless smorgasbord of streamers available, Peacock is one of the few I don’t mind paying for. I like it because it has great original shows like “Poker Face” and “Rutherford Falls” and a well-chosen horror selection with movies like “Sick,” “M3GAN,” and “Nope” in its pretty extensive lineup. “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” is definitely worth the five bucks it costs to subscribe for a month, but if the thought of joining another streamer gives you hives (I get it!), the film also has some great home video options already at your fingertips.
